VISITOR CENTER

The Visitors Center located at the Riverview Avenue entrance to the park, was originally the Park Office. The park foreman and the park police operated out if this building. Park maps and records were stored here.

After the park maintenance was transferred to division one the park office was given to the Big League baseball

When the Pittsburgh Park Conservancy along with Riverview Park Alliance, neighborhood groups and interested individuals developed the master plan for Riverview Park it was determined that this building would be used as a visitors center. The Big League moved to a different location and the building was refurbished.

We are still waiting for the visitors center to open.
